December 22nd:
As another year draws to a close Bluemoose would sincerely like to thank everybody who supported them and made 2006 an unbelievable year. Appreciation goes out to all staff who looked after us at venues and with accommodation etc; to our friends in other bands who we've had the pleasure of spilling some beers with on the road; and especially to the dedicated Bluemoose fans who never fail to disappoint and give us the drive to keep doing what we love! Thanks also for all your comments on this site and on Bebo, where we have almost reached the 400 groupies mark ;o) Keep them coming!
We look forward to doing it all again in '07. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!!

October 23rd:
'Deal or No Deal' in Dublin and Pitch n' Putt in a marsh in Sligo were among the bands extra-curricular activities over the weekend. Bobby ran out winner and now holds both bowling and pitch n' putt titles. It was a close fought match though between four of the Mooses. Tony Eile however redefined the term 'golfing handicap'! The guys play six gigs in five days this week before taking a well earned weeklong holiday.

October 17th:
The rescheduled NUI Maynooth Freshers Week gig has been set for Wednesday October 25th! Thanks to our friends from Cavan/Roscommon who paid us a visit at The Quays in Galway last week and also to everyone who helped turn the Templemore Arms on it's head on Saturday. What a night!! Unfortunately the band camera was mislaid, so if anybody got any cool snaps at the gig, please e-mail them on to us.

October 10th:
Pictures from an action-packed trip to England have been posted. The guys' latest trip across the pond proved to be one of the most successful yet with capacity crowds on each of the 4 nights. Some high profile people were on hand to catch a couple of the shows and wheels are now in motion for some mega gigs in the UK, including major festivals and even some work for a certain English television station! More news on this as we get it. Sharing the weekend line-up this time at Butlins with Bluemoose were acts including 5-star & 2-Unlimited with Fran Cosgrave and Jeff Hordley (Cain Dingle from Emmerdale) both dj-ing. The lads return to the UK at the end of November.

Big news from the Moose camp this week!! Due to personal and professional commitments, Harvey's second spell with the group is coming to an end. One hell of a party is expected in McSorley's, Killarney at the end of the month as Harvey takes his bow, when the guys will be performing for two nights running.
This leads us to introduce the man who will be taking over Harvey's seat - Shane Gough. Shane is an experienced drummer from Athlone and has toured America and Europe with various groups. We look forward to yet another exciting era in the Bluemoose lifespan!
Gig dates for October have been posted, and also a new band profile page has been added.

Bluemoose made two debut perormances over the weekend. The band would like to thank all the people who supported them at Marakibo in Mallow, and Karma in Athlone. Lots of appreciation also goes to the ever dependable Wexford posse for making the gigs at The Centenary Stores and Tír Na Nóg as enjoyable and crazy as ever.

Another week passes which consisted of more Grads, an 'interesting' night in Ballina, the now ritualistic Bluemoose bowling competition before rocking PV's in Longford and then lifting the roof off the Old Oak in Cork on All-Ireland Final day. Despite Cork's defeat, a spectacular day and night was had, and the party atmosphere continued into the early hours of the morning. Check out the new pictures........

Moran's Red Cow Hotel was the venue on Thursday for an Enniscorthy Debs Ball before heading north to Co. Tyrone for the grand opening of the magnificent House of Blues venue at The Fort, Dungannon. Bluemoose would like to congratulate Paul Faloon and the guys on what is one of the finest venues we've had the pleasure of playing! Saturday was Castlerea, Co. Roscommon before a night of mayhem on Sunday at the annual Kilmuckridge 'Lark in the Park' Festival in Co. Wexford. Thanks also to our good friend Peadar Carney for stepping in behind the drum kit for the weekend!!

August 11th:
Bluemoose would sincerely like to apologise for the last minute gig cancellations earlier this week. After a weekend of over exertion, Tony Moose's voice decided to dessert him and Philip ended up on crutches after trying to descend a staircase at a time when his brain and legs weren't connected! Sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment caused and the guys will be back soon to rock the venues in question.
New pictures added

July 25th:
Bluemoose returned from another exhausting but exciting UK tour last week. The gig in Shepherds Bush, London was recorded live and will be available on cd soon. The final date of the tour saw the guys share the 2,800 capacity Butlins Centre Stage with 70's/80's chart toppers 'Boney M'. After making it home with literally enough time to change their socks, it was straight on to Crosshaven for the huge yacht festival which attracted people in their thousands! Two nights in Killarney, on to Cavan (with the entertaining late night ladies brawl), Longford (including Tony Moose's forfeit) and finally winding the weekend down in Ballina. What will this week have in store?! (Pictures added soon)

July 7th:
Bit of a false alarm on the old TG4 front folks. Sorry about that. Unfortunately their footage of Phil on fiddle, Bobby on squeeze-box, Harvey on bodhrán and the two Tonys' duelling banjo's got accidentally erased and that was the only piece they wanted to use, (to fit in with everything else they decided to broadcast!) Also the cost of image rights and royalties that the station would've had to pay the band for using them in their show would've been detrimental to the TG4 annual budget! ;o)
****************************************************************************************************************************
July 2nd:
Another exciting weekend passes for Bluemoose which included a return trip to Northern Ireland to rock the Blue Room @ The Fort, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone. Thanks to Paul and all the gang for making it another pleasurable journey! The guys then returned home to play open air at the Wexford Strawberry Fair in Enniscorthy. With the weather being very kind, almost 3,000 people of all ages lined the streets! The guys were joined on stage briefly by the 'Strawberry Festival Queens', who delivered a cake to Birthday boy Tony. Television station 'TG4' were there to film the gig which will be broadcast during the programme 'Féilte', this Thursday 6th at 20.30. Thanks to all who turned out in support and especially to those who bought cd's after the gig! (see pictures)
Bluemoose now take a short break before returning to the UK. Check the gig guide to see when the boys are back in your area.

June 27th:
Lots of activity in the Moose camp of late! A recent trip to the UK saw the guys rockin a chain of Walkabout bars before lifting the roof off Butlins Holiday Centre in Bognor Regis in front of an audience of 2,000 people!
Being touted as one of the best party bands to visit the UK, the trip proved very successful, and the guys make a much anticipated return visit to the UK in July.
Next up we would like to announce the return of Harvey Hillis! Harvey is back behind the Bluemoose drumkit after a brief absence. The band would sincerely like to thank The Dave for his contribution over the past year and wish him every success in his future projects.
Bluemoose recently performed a double-header at the Harley Davidson European Rally in Killarney which attracted celebrities such as Colin Farrell, George Clooney, Ozzy Osbourne and Harrison Ford. Approximately 20,000 motorcycles decended on the town, arriving from all over Europe.
